Award recognizes Liu’s outstanding achievements in automation for Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy based gas analysis at SpectraSensors.

Sherry Liu, director of Research and Development and Principal Scientist at SpectraSensors, Inc., will receive the International Society of Automation (ISA) Award for Excellence in Analytical Innovation.


The award presentation will be made on November 10, 2014 at annual ISA Honors and Awards Gala at the Arvest Bank theatre at the Midland in Kansas City, Missouri. The purpose of the award is to recognize and express appreciation for achievements and contributions to the innovation community.


Her numerous innovations include pressure invariant detection, multi-peak background compensation, differential spectroscopy, reconstruction of calibration state, virtual frequency lock, and energy meter. She has also had 23 US and international patents issued.
